Steel City Roller Derby searching for a new home
Wanted: Large space with room for bouts and fans.

The Steel City Roller Derby is in search of a new home.
Romp n Roll, the Shaler roller rink where the league has practiced for roughly 10 years, announced last Monday that it will close Nov. 30. In a news release today, Steel City Roller Derby members said the rink “felt like home” with a staff that was always nice to the league.
The league will continue to practice at Romp n Roll until it closes next month and is looking for a new home for 2017. The new owners will turn the facility into a warehouse/showroom combination, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.
The league said it needs a space that has a 75-by-108 foot open space, as well as room for fans, the ability to lay ropes and tape and ample parking. Without a set space, games scheduled for early in the year could be canceled, according to the release.
