Spell a word wrong, and you're out. Spell it correctly and you get a shot of punch to help eliminate you in the next round. Single elimination with the top three spellers getting "fabulous prizes." Supports the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council.

Pittsburgh Underwear Bike Ride, Halloween edition

Costumes are optional — but encouraged — for the Halloween edition of the Pittsburgh Underwear Bike Ride. A 21+ after-party at Spirit starts at 9 p.m. Admission is $5. The ride, however, is free. Meet at 8 p.m., ride at 8:30 p.m.

You don’t have to be 21 to enter Cruze Bar’s costume contest

Cruze Bar is giving away cash to Halloween revelers with the scariest, funniest, sexiest, most original and overall best costumes. You don't have to be 21 to attend the party. People who are 18, 19 or 20 pay a $5 cover charge.

This is an event called ‘Howl-o-ween Yappy Hour’

Fall beer for humans over 21; free Barley Bones for pups, which are encouraged to come in costume. Top dog gets a treat bag from Petagogy. If you're a human, don't dress up, because you might scare the dogs, Petagogy says.

The Warhol Museum and Pop Cabaret’s Halloween variety show

The Andy Warhol Museum and Pop Cabaret's Halloween variety show, "Nightmare," will feature "performance, music, dance, rituals, stories and more." More than a dozen performers are scheduled to participate. "Experience fear and delight as we conjure magic and mayhem to greet the horrors and pleasures of contemporary existence," the museum says.

Dance, win prizes at iCandy’s LGBTQ Halloween party
