So you’re an inactive voter in Pennsylvania

You can still vote!

You’ve probably been seeing celebrity tweet after campaign email after TV ad reminding you to register to vote or to make sure you’re registered to vote in order to, you know, vote today.

But you didn’t check until today — because of course you didn’t — and here’s what you found:

It’s OK! You can still vote.

You don’t need to show an ID, per Mark Wolosik, Elections Division manager for Allegheny County. You just have to sign an affirmation that your address is still your address.

If you’ve moved since you registered, you have to vote at the polling place associated with your inactive registration. The address change is processed after an election.

The process is the same if you’ve moved across town or across the state.
