There’s just something about fried fish and heaps of sides spilling over a simple Styrofoam container that makes us feel Pittsburgh-proud. (Plus, it damn sure fills our bellies.)

We all have our favorite part of the iconic meal. Maybe it’s putting that fish sandwich together or finding out if the mac n cheese or pierogies live up to their comfort food potential.

But when all is said and done, if you had to pick *just one* fish fry to go to — choosing from the all the various options, at churches or fire halls or restaurants — which would it be? In essence, what we really want to know is the answer to this important question: Who hosts the Ultimate Pittsburgh Fish Fry?

Thanks to your recommendations and our diligent (and delicious) research, we’re presenting 32 contenders for your consideration, pitted against one another in an NCAA-style competition bracket. That’s right, it’s time for the fish face off.

Your job? Cast your vote in each race below, and tell your friends to vote, too. You have until 10 a.m. Monday, March 6, to weigh in on this round — plenty of time, in case you need to do some research of your own. Make sure to check back next week to find out who made it into the Sweet Sixteen!
