The numbers aren’t certified yet, but it appears Allegheny County had the lowest turnout in years on Tuesday.
Not that turnout in off-year primaries has been so great over the past decade.
Using election results provided by Allegheny County, The Incline made a chart that shows turnout — total, Democrats and Republicans — in odd-year primaries since 2007. A breakdown of turnout by party was not immediately available for the 2017 results, which are preliminary.
See it and weep.
