This Sunday is Pittsburgh’s first Open Streets of 2017, which means miles of city roads will be off-limits to cars to create a pedestrian paradise.

Walkers, runners, cyclists (both bi- and uni-), rollerbladers, families and pups are welcome at the event, coordinated by Bike Pittsburgh. That organization has a number of tips for how to have the best time possible (like bring sunscreen and water). Below are the very basics of what you need to know for Sunday’s Open Streets, which kicks off at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m.

The route

The four-mile route stretches from Downtown to Uptown to the South Side. Click on the below image to check out an interactive route map, or download a copy here.
