I’m Lexi, The Incline’s editor.
When we launched in September 2016, some people assumed we were based on Mount Washington or worked with funiculars. (Neither is true.) Really, our name mirrors why we’re here: Like the inclines rising and falling on the hills, we’re keeping an eye on the city and helping Pittsburghers navigate it.
Since then, our small, dedicated team has proven our commitment to telling local stories by providing context to the big story of the day and (hopefully) being delightful along the way. Sources have respected and applauded our accuracy and integrity. Readers have found their place in Pittsburgh by getting offline and connecting with us in-person at our events.
But still, more than a year later, we’re thinking about our future and how we can turn our startup into a thriving local news outlet that will serve Pittsburgh for years to come.
So today we’re asking you to show your love of The Incline by becoming a member.
Whether you join at $15/month or $500/year, you’re making an investment in local journalism and your community.
Our new membership plan means that the great stories you’ve come to expect from us are never going behind a paywall. We believe every resident deserves access to the news that helps you make decisions and get through your day.
As an Incline member, you’ll get more from us — swag, access to events, awesome newsletters and other cool perks.
