Rossilynne here, your food and culture editor.
Just last year, more than 100 new restaurants opened in Allegheny County. We wrote about as many openings (and closings) as possible because we believe it’s important to help you decide where to spend your hard-earned money.
But “food and culture” isn’t just about dining — it’s about people’s lives and health and rights. We spotlight people changing Pittsburgh for the better, and I’m so proud of our reporting on critical issues like food deserts, food waste and tipping in restaurants.
All of that costs real money. And we can’t do it without you. For the cost of a few slices of pizza or a couple craft beers, you can make an impact.
With your help, we’ll keep providing Pittsburgh with the kind of journalism that it deserves.
We’ll continue to bring you everything you need to know about Pittsburgh in our morning newsletter.
We’ll continue to report the stories you won’t find anywhere else.
