On the surface, the vibrant new Strawberry Way mural brightens up a narrow Downtown alley.

But look deeper, and you’ll see the bigger picture.

The work focuses on two large questions:

  • Who’s missing from your table?
  • Who gets to eat the most fruit?

For BOOM Concepts artist Julie Mallis, the canvas at Strawberry Way invites people to think about these questions and encourages people to be active by playing “the floor is lava.”
