Update June 5: Who’s Next: Education: 19 up-and-comers preparing Pittsburgh for the future

Pittsburgh educators: We want to highlight your outstanding work.

For our latest Who’s Next class, we’re looking to showcase the under-40 educators making Pittsburgh a smarter, kinder, and more dynamic place.

And in a town with this many colleges, public schools, charters, and more, we know there are plenty of folks making a difference for students.

But, as always, we can’t do it without you. We need you to nominate the people you think should be included in our list of winners.

And we want you to be willing to think outside the box. While teachers certainly qualify, we’re also interested in anyone innovating and influencing the educational process in any number of ways. Think developers of new educational software, thought leaders shaping teaching methods, informal educators in museums and afterschool programs, advocates keeping the arts in schools alive, and those behind the scenes, too. (For inspiration, check out our last Who’s Next: Educators class.)

Who’s Next, presented by S&T Bank, allows The Incline to introduce you today to Pittsburgh’s rising stars. Catch up on our previous Who’s Next classes here, and sign up for Who’s Next email alerts by clicking the “Follow This” button.

Use this form to nominate young leaders defining Pittsburgh’s education scene before 10 a.m. on Monday, May 20. We’ll assemble a class of the standouts — and throw a party for them that you can attend, too.

Stay tuned and happy nominating, folks.
