Take home part of the Phipps’ Spring Flower Show

Want to bring a piece of the Phipps' Spring Flower Show into your own garden? The conservancy is holding its annual used bulb sale, where you can grab two pots worth of hyacinths, daffodils and lilies bulbs for $5. Orchids from the show will also be available for purchase.

An ‘orchid extravaganza​’ in Shadyside

The Orchid Society of Western Pennsylvania is hosting an "orchid extravaganza" this weekend, and it's free and open to the public. See prize-winning flowers and purchase one from a vendor. (Later: Try not to kill it.) Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

No one wants the flu. That's why Una Biologicals is hosting a class at the Phipps' Garden Center on herbs that promote health during the winter.

The history of the Phipps in photos

The Phipps puts more than 120 years of history on display. For one day, photos from between 1893 and 2016 can be viewed around the conservatory. Docents will be on hand to talk about the rooms and the Phipps' history.
